Simon Cowell net worth: How much money does the music mogul have? Fortune revealed | Life | Life & Style

Simon Cowell, 58, returns to screens for Britain’s Got Talent on ITV tonight.

The TV star rose to fame with the launch of Pop Idol in 2001, where he starred as a judge. He became known for his controversially harsh comments and was then asked to judge American Idol from 2002.

His fame grew with the launch of the X Factor in 2004 and BGT in 2007. The discovery of One Direction on The X Factor in 2010 cemented his status as one of the most important people in music.

Father to son Eric, 4, Simon has now spent well over a decade in the limelight.

But what is his net worth and how did he make his fortune?

According to The Sunday Times Rich List, Cowell is worth a staggering £325million.

It doesn’t stop there – they estimate his salary at £95million a year.

This is largely thanks to Syco Entertainment. Syco manages the likes of The X Factor, which has its own version in 45 countries, and Britain’s Got Talent, with shows that follow a similar format in nearly 200 countries.

The company has managed music acts like One Direction, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony.

Syco Entertainment has sold over 200 million albums and achieved 180 number one singles worldwide.

Simon owns lavish properties in London and Los Angeles, splitting his time between both cities.

His London home is in Holland Park and is believed to be worth £10million.

But the Holland Park mansion is thought to be nothing compared to Simon’s Beverly Hills home.

The luxurious 9.335 square foot property has six bedrooms, six bathroom, a state-of-the-art gym, a luxury spa and a swimming pool.

On top of this, he owns a penthouse in New York overlooking Central Park, worth $10.85million (£7.61million) according to The Hollywood Reporter.

He also has a second home in LA, in the Trousdale Estates, a sought-after location in the Hollywood Hills.

Bought for $15.5million (£10.88million) in 2011, it is a midcentury house originally built in 1966.

While the most successful financially of all the judges on Britain’s Got Talent, the other stars are also worth a fortune.

Declan Donnolly, who presents the show alone while usual partner Ant McPartlin, enjoys a staggering fortune thanks to years at the top of British TV.

Amanda Holden, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon will all appear on the show tonight.

However Simon did reveal there could be a replacement for Walliams during an interview on Lorraine this week.
